James .R. Dixon Early punk from New York, classic reissue. This is what Elvis would of sounded like doing punk,..& we all know had he lived a bit longer he would of been a punk.

brantly Jack Rabid's 1981 inspiration for the Big Takeover is everything punk rock should be. I don't know Jack, but I thank him every day for turning me on to so much great music, and this single is yet another touchstone he directed me to. Really nice to have this on vinyl as opposed to my KBD burned digital copy. Sounds awesome!

RabPunk1977 Have the well worn out and tattered original somewhere around here...saw them at a punk rock weekend thing here way back in 1980 or thereabouts...classic old school punk rock
Laine

Laine Classic New York punk that got caught on my radar because of the kid on the cover, and more precisely, his later projects. Good stuff. Great singer. Favorite track: Loud Fast Rules!.

Your life's too set to ever see life - You'll never get from me what you so wanted But now you say that you'll slow down, your quiet pace has let you down And now you say that you will listen - I'll play it loud to get it through your thick head 'Cause now you're ready to slow down, your many friends have let you down Loud rules, loud loud rules -- Fast rules, loud fast rules -- Our rules We're gonna say it loud (LOUD!), we're gonna live it fast (FAST!) Let's try it my way, we'll do it my way You're dyin' to be seen, you're ready to be heard We'll try it my way, let's do it my way You want attention, you want affection, do you deserve it? You want attention, you want affection, you’d better get it straight! It's time I think you come around, it's time to stop being a clown You want romance, I can see in a glance, you’d better get it straight You want romance, can you take a chance, I can see in a glance We're gonna play it loud (LOUD!), we're gonna live it fast (FAST!) We'll try it my way, let's do it my way You're dyin' to be seen, you're ready to be heard We'll try it my way, we'll do it my way You spend your life in coffee houses You'll never see me there so stop and listen I think it's time you come around It's time to fill your head with sound

We must be movin! Our side is losing Don’t want to shoot them Lookin’ for you – Lookin’ for me Lookin’ for you – They’re lookin’ for me … The neighbor’s tryin – to get us backed in We barely knew them! Lookin’ for you – Lookin’ for me Lookin’ for you – They’re lookin’ for me … Gotta get out – Gotta get out today Get away! Gotta get out –Gotta jet jet away – jet away Thought we could bend the rules - Run Run Run! Got our picture in the news – Hey Hey Hey Now we gotta run ‘cuz soon we’ll be alone Took the store –We broke the law Bad day! Very bad day … Seen his face – so please don’t give me away – Give me away! But you better watch out!! We must be movin! Our side is losing Don’t want to shoot them Lookin’ for you – Lookin’ for me Lookin’ for you – They’re lookin’ for me … Gotta get out Gotta get out Gotta get away Jet jet jet away Thought we could break the law All for a dollar more … Now we gotta run ‘cuz soon we’ll be alone

You will never break my heart You will never get that far You will leave right thru that door When I say so – Please go! You won’t fail to take that train Say my life’s gone down the drain Yes you’ll leave right thru that door When I say so – Please go! Oh God can’t you see? I need room to breathe You will never meet half my needs … You will never break my heart You will never get that far You will leave right thru that door When I say so – Please go! You won’t fail to take that train Say my life’s gone down the drain Yes you’ll leave right thru that door When I say so – Please go! Oh God can’t you see? I need room to breathe You will never meet half my needs … She’s got more reaction Than some cross-fire action Sad to say ….. You will never break my heart You will never get that far You will leave right thru that door When I say so – Please go! You won’t fail to take that train Say my life’s shot down the drain Yes you’ll leave right thru that door When I say so – Please go! Oh God can’t you see? I need room to breathe You will never meet half my needs … You! Won’t break my heart You! Won’t break my heart You! Won’t break my heart You! Won’t break my heart You! Won’t break my heart You! Won’t break my heart
